gah...I haven't updated in forever and I can't say I even want to do it now. I'm just bored at work.

I think I'm finally growing up. I've sort of forced myself into it, I suppose - u know, the whole apartment, boyfriend and pets thing. I love it though. I absolutely love it. I love that finally I feel like I have control of my life, that I can do anything. the possibilities are endless, as cliche as it might sound.

anyway, we have two kitties now - pearl and piper. pearl is 3 years old and piper is probably about 5 months old. it's kinda hard to tell since we adopted them from a shelter. I love my girls!

I can't believe in two months my sister is going to be a mom. talk about growing up! she's going to be a great mom, though, as sergio will be a great dad. hey, I'm gonna be a great aunt, too, even if I do live 20+ hours away. I'm soooo glad she's having a girl. I don't know how to treat little boys!

It turns out that the guy that was trying to find a home for a stray kitten was trying to find a home for his neighbor's eight year old daughter's birthday present. LOL. Oh well. We decided that we still wanted a cat. Instead we're going to adopt an adult cat. One, they're already house trained, and, two, we don't have to keep wondering what they're going to be like as adults because they already are. On Sunday, we're going to go down to the Houston Humane Society and have a look around.

So, it definitely has been a long time since my last update. Not like it matters. I think the only person that reads this still is Brian. Haha. Oh well.

Anyway...

After being told in the same day to find a new place to live (not my fault, by the way) and that I'd need to find a new job (current job is relocating), I am now working at the University Club. You might be asking yourself, "What is the University the Club? Some organization at UST?" No, it certainly is not. If you've ever been in the Galleria near Victoria's Secret, looked up and seen the people running around the track, that's the University Club. Visit them at www.uc-houston.com. I love working here. It's the perfect part-time job for a college student.

I'm extremely happy to say that I will not be living in the dorms this year. Instead Brian and I got an apartment in a great part of town. I'm so happy. A lot of people questioned the move, but neither of us could be happier.

We're actually in the process of trying to take in a stray kitten. I'm soo excited. I haven't had a pet in so long. We don't know if the kitten is a boy or a girl, but we've picked out names for both. If it's a girl, its name will be Emmy. If it's a boy, its name will be Oscar. Can you find the theme?

So, since I'm tired of talking about the chaos of my life lately, I'm just going to post paintings of my favorite artist, Georgia O'Keefe. Some of her paintings are...well...u'll see. She discretely paints about the female form...

So, know what part of the female body she painted? Haha. That's not why I like her though.

A New Beginning

Wow. my title sounds kinda corny, but oh well. I got tired of the mundane existence I was leading at xanga. so, I've moved! this site already looks a heck of a lot better than xanga.

anyway...

I must tell everyone about the wonderful date my boyfriend *Brian* took me on Saturday. first, he actually showed up on time. lol (sorry dear). he gave me my faaaavorite flowers (star-gazer lilies). then we went to the cheesecake factory. he was upset because we had to wait and he tried to make reservations the day before and it got all mixed up. so, anyway, we had to wait, but I enjoyed it because I got to go shop. I bought 3 shirts from Delias. after dinner, we were supposed to go to the waterfall behind the galleria, but the lights shut off at 10 and we weren't done eating by then.
so, then he was like, "ok, we're just going to go back to the dorm. get me back to i-10." I asked him why he had to go to i-10 when we were right there on westheimer. he said just to get him back to i-10. so, I got him back to i-10 and we ended up going to the aquarium. we drive in front of the aquarium and there's a row of horse and carriages!!! I got to go on a carriage ride downtown! it was so great! yay! I have the best boyfriend in the world.
